A New Vision!
-- A New Assignment
Over the past 18 months or so we've felt a new vision growing in our
spirit, a deeper calling to serve the Lord more than ever before. As we
prayed, pondered and pursued this calling we felt it was time to commit
our complete career to missions. Naturally we felt like we would begin
this work where we have already invested so much, El Salvador. Late in
the summer we began the application process for career missionary
appointment. We are excited to announce that we have completed the
process and are appointed career missionaries with Assemblies of God
World Missions! Equally exciting is our initial assignment to Buenos
Aires, Argentina! Our vision is to establish a Media Center to train
global communication missionaries and produce state-of-the-art media
materials for Latin America and beyond. We look forward to training
Argentine Bible College students in media ministry, producing
television programming for the Unsión Satellite Network and
to working with local church ministries. It has been interesting to see
the seeds God has placed in our hearts over the last 7 years. We have
not made this decision lightly keeping it before the Lord in prayer for
nearly 2 years. We are as surprised as anyone that we will moving to
Argentina. But after much prayer and several confirmations we know that
this is God's will for the next season of our lives. We're just happy
to be a part of it!
A Look Back -- His Faithfulness
What a miracle the past seven years have been, as God has used us to
establish a Communications Department for Kings Castle International,
and to train nationals who are committed to carrying on the ministry as
we move toward a new field of service.
| When we accepted the call to El
Salvador as newlyweds, just out of college, we envisioned staying a
year as Missionary Associates. That first year, we experienced two
devastating earthquakes which shook the entire country, as many lost
everything, including family. Our fear was turned to faith as we began
to see the power of media ministries. God clearly placed us in El
Salvador “for such a time” as we captured on video
the devastation which was distributed throughout the United States. We
were humbled as containers of beans, rice, and first aid supplies
poured in from nearly every state. Through those relief efforts, God
allowed Castle Ministries to find favor with the government which has
snowballed into open doors for evangelism. |

We recall
our excitement with the production of the first audio
tapes used in evangelism. Those tapes have morphed from tape to CD, to
digital audio. Today, all Castle manuals, logos, music and videos are
on tiny Video iPods that are multiplying the message of Christ
throughout the world. |
We never dreamed how the call to
missions would lead us to extend one year, then another, and another
until we knew it was a life’s calling.
As we stepped blindly into the direction God was leading, you
faithfully supported us with your prayers and finances. Many of you
have supported us since the beginning and a thank-you seems inadequate;
thank-you for believing in us and our mission even before we fully
believed in ourselves and before we fully recognized God's call into
this life of missions. |

A Look Ahead -- His Calling
As we watched the number of
believers grow, and earned the trust of nationals, we assumed our
career appointment would be back to San Salvador where we could use the
Media Center we established for King's Castle International as a base
for our expanding vision. After our initial shock, God confirmed that
the request of AGWM leadership to move to Argentina was His direction.
We are not leaving King's Castle Ministries, we are leaving El
Salvador; we will continue to work with the Media Center in El Salvador
as well as other ministries throughout the world including Missionary
Bill McDonald and the Unsión Satellite Network based in
Ecuador.
Our vision is to establish a production
studio in Buenos Aires to serve as a network center to other ministries
as we create ministry materials, Christian television programming,
communique and promotional projects and serve as a center for the
development of future latin communications ministers and missionaries.
We believe God will send international interns who will catch the
vision and join our network as they themselves are called into media
missions and ministries. We also feel called to start an
Unsión Network Affiliate office to provide television
programming from Argentina to be included in their international
satellite programming.
God has also given us a vision to establish
an internet-based network of communication professionals who will are
called to tithe of their time and talents to help missions and
ministries throughout the world via the internet. This dream is larger
than anything we could do with our natural strength, but we rest
assured knowing God will help us accomplish the vision He has birthed.
Your Partnership -- His Provision
Sharing our financial need and
asking for support has been the hardest part of this entire journey. We
can eat anything, sleep anywhere, wear anything, and work endlessly,
but when it comes to asking for money it's just not who we are. That's
how we know this is a lesson God is trying to teach us; learning to
rely on Him and His provision has been one of our greatest trials, yet
one of our greatest joys on this whole mission’s journey.

As the
puzzle pieces are beginning to form a picture, we are excited about how
God is going to use us. We hope you are excited with us since we can't
do it without your help! AGWM has asked that our Missionary Associate
pledges be signed over to the "Career Missionary" classification. When
all of you who are currently supporting us sign over and continue your
commitment, we will have over 50% of our monthly support already
raised! If each supporting individual or church could find one
individual or church to match their pledge we could have our monthly
support raised! Imagine what a tremendous burden would be lifted as we
could book services with only a cash budget to raise. Then we just pack
up and head for Buenos Aires! |
